Tianke Heda plans to launch a 12 inch optical grade silicon carbide substrate in the second half of 2025, breaking the foreign monopoly

Tianke Heda has launched three new products: 8-inch optical waveguide silicon carbide (also known as optical grade silicon carbide) substrate, 12 inch heat sink grade silicon carbide substrate, and liquid-phase P-type 6-inch substrate. Among them, the thickness of the optical waveguide type silicon carbide substrate is 350/500/700 μ m, the transmittance is>95% (after coating with anti reflective film), and the refractive index is 2.7 (at 450nm wavelength), which can help solve the problems of narrow field of view, rainbow pattern, and heat dissipation in traditional AR glasses. Tianke Heda plans to launch 12 inch optical grade silicon carbide substrate products in the second half of 2025 and achieve small-scale production of 8-inch optical grade silicon carbide substrates by 2026, which is expected to open up a broader consumer market.
